Many locals across the council feel as though they are on an island by themselves with no rescue in sight.  CLICK HERE for an idea of what we will do to ensure each local is equipped with the information on how to receive support for each obstacle that they face.  

 

In addition to the information provided, we will ensure ALL changes in working conditions (CIWC) that impact more than one local are bargained accordingly at the National Level. Upon conclusion of bargaining the CIWC, we will streamline communication to each local with what was agreed (MOU, SOP, Contract) by both (NVAC & VACO) parties. Not only will we provide what was bargained nationally, we will include in our report advice and guidance on how to bargain the CIWC locally.

 

Each local is unique in their partnership with their respective agency and so long as national bargaining is conducted  and guidance provided, all locals will have more confidence at the negotiation table.
